Few hours ago, I have returned from the cinema, where I saw a new Star Trek movie with admiral Arenoth
What can I say about Star Trek XI? Well, it was a great movie, but it wasn't "Star Trek", if you know, what I mean. Main villain Nero wasn't so good as Khan from second ST movie, but you know.... It's very hard to be a good villain after Khan [link]
Young Kirk was, as usual, skirt-chaser, Spock was quite logical and "Bones" had his "I'm a doctor, not a..." line. Unfortunately, he didn't say "He's dead, Jim!", after Nero's death.
But still, I like that film, it's exciting ^__^ (isn't it, Scotty?)
Here are little samples from the soundtrack (but I'm little disapointed that I didn't hear classic Star Trek movie fanfare by Jerry Goldsmith)
Motive of whole movie - [link]
Villain's melody (i think, this is trying to be very similar, like Khan's theme) - [link]
And at last, TOS theme - [link]
